A Life Well Lived – In Loving Memory of Aubrey Seaford Worrell

Aubrey Seaford “Mud-Digger” Worrell was born on November 17, 1937, in Mount Standfast, St. James, Barbados. The youngest child of Hazel Worrell and Kathleen Hurdle Worrell, he was lovingly raised by his sisters, Delcina and Myrtilene following the early passing of their mother.

A lifelong lover of cricket, Aubrey captained the Garden Boys Cricket Club to a championship in 1960 and later played for Maple Cricket Club and the Barbados Cricket Association. His love for the game reflected the discipline, sportsmanship, and leadership that defined his life.

In 1967, Aubrey immigrated to Canada with the support of his beloved sister, Delcina. There, he married his wife, Diana Wilson of Road View, St. Peter, Barbados, and together they shared 58 wonderful years of marriage while raising a loving family. Though Canada became his home, Barbados always remained close to his heart.

Aubrey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was blessed with six children: McDonald, Ann, Roy, Tricia, Donna, and Christopher. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and the many lives he touched with his kindness, wisdom, and quiet strength.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex, 1275 Dollard Avenue, LaSalle.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral complex, followed by interment at 3:15 p.m. at Jardin Urgel Bourgie Cemetery, 3955 Chemin de la Côte-de-Liesse, Saint-Laurent.
