In loving memory of our dear loved one, Sylvia Taylor, formerly of St. Barnabas Road, St. Michael (near the church) who fell asleep unexpectedly on June 17, 2020.

The morning sun climbed over the Caribbean Sea, casting a bright golden light across the veranda. Yet, a quiet shadow seemed to linger in the warm breeze. The empty wicker chair sat still, and the house felt unusually quiet.

Out in the yard, the rustling green leaves of the mahogany trees seemed to whisper old stories, and the sudden melody of a favorite song playing down the street brought back a flood of memories.

We could still picture every line of that familiar, smiling face. The wisdom shared during long afternoon talks still guided our steps every single day. That gentle soul had taught us how to truly live, how to love deeply, and how to forgive.

We do not walk this path alone. The kindness they planted lives on, blossoming beautifully in the hearts left behind. Even though tears fall because we miss that bright light, a deep peace remains.

Love bridges the great divide, keeping them close as the waves lap against the shore. Until we meet again on that eternal beach, where parting words are said no more, the memory lives on in the warmth of the island sun.
