Suzanne Ffolkes Goldson was a brilliant legal mind, inspiring educator, and beloved soul whose warmth touched all who knew her. A high-honours LLB graduate of the University of the West Indies and Oxford postgraduate, she served as a distinguished lecturer at Cave Hill Campus. Her seminal works, Corporate Business Principles: A Guide to the Company Law of Jamaica and Commonwealth Caribbean Corporate Governance, continue to guide the region.
In Dewsbury’s quiet streets and Mona’s halls you shone, A laughter like sunlight, a spirit gently strong. From Oxford’s spires to Cave Hill’s call, You taught with wisdom, you lifted us all. Corporate law’s guardian, with pen sharp and true, Yet softer your heart, a friend loyal and new. Now in Jesus’ embrace, your joy is complete, We miss you dearly, yet in peace we meet. Though tears may fall on this earthly shore, Your legacy lives forevermore.
Rest in perfect peace, dear Suzanne. In the Lord.
