Sarah Laurent, affectionately known as “Beauty.” She departed this life on Tuesday, 12th May 2026 at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, at the tender age of 59. Sarah was predeceased by her parents, the late Huxley and Nathalie Laurent; her sister,

Winifred Adjabonna; and her son, Keane Gregoire.

Sarah leaves behind her children, Sarahlee and Tanya; her only beloved grandson, Evan Green; and her companion, Lenny Gregoire. She is also survived by her siblings: Jacqueline Theodore, Diane Laurent-Stoute, and Montano Laurent in Dominica; Richard Laurent in Antigua; and Aaron Laurent in Las Vegas, USA. Her family also includes her in-laws, Lenus Stoute, Alicia James Laurent, and Felicia Laurent.

She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces: Latoya, Jackie, Estelle, Cora, Sally, Giselle, Nilda, and Jenai; and her nephews: Craig, Roosevelt, Terry, Jason, and Dawson. Her legacy continues through her aunts and uncles: Jonathan, Esau, Dickson, Phonie, Susan, and Jania. She is also survived by a host of cousins, including Aritha, Skitter, Adaline, George, Eunice, Ingrid, Anne, and Brenda.

Sarah is held in fond memory by her special friends Eudora, Rosilia Durand, Sarah, Claudia Fiedtkou, Theresa, Patrick Laurent, and Jefferson Joseph. She also leaves behind the management and staff at the Ministry of Tourism, as well as the management, staff, and students at the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus. She was closely affiliated with the communities of Petite Soufrière, San Sauveur, and Good Hope in Dominica, as well as Nut Grove, Grays Farm, Donovans, and Golden Grove in Antigua.

Sarah’s departure has left a deep void in the hearts of her loved ones.   May her soul rest in perpetual peace and rise in eternal glory.
