To my dear mother Dorothea Hernandez it is still so difficult to accept that you are no longer here with us, . Every time I think of our home on South Beach Drive, South Beach Estates, I am reminded of your beautiful smile, your gentle spirit, and the unconditional love that filled our lives.

You were an extraordinary mother, a devoted retired teacher, and a remarkable woman whose influence reached far beyond our family. Your students loved you as though you were their own mom because you cared for each of them with patience, compassion, and encouragement. You always inspired me, and you inspired everyone fortunate enough to know you.

Since you left us, our family has welcomed two precious grandchildren. It breaks my heart that they will never experience your warm embrace, your comforting words, or your endless love.

Still, they will grow up hearing about the incredible woman you were and the legacy you left behind. I miss you more than words can ever express, Mom, but your love, strength, and beautiful example will remain with me forever.
